Range of the tesla battery will vary based on location, temperature and driving habits. We do our best to accurately describe how much range you will get, but even new Tesla’s don’t get the marketed range. Each listed battery comes with full charge starting range, distance driven on one charge, remaining range,  Wh/mi economy, kWh used, and the conditions in which we obtained that range. Here is what all of that means:

1. Full Charge Starting Range: The range in miles indicated by the vehicle when the car is fully charged, usually does not represent actual drivable range.
2. Distance Driven on one Charge: The range we are able to get on the battery from full charge to nearly depleted.
3. Remaining Range: The range the vehicle says we still have left after we have determined the road test is over, wouldn’t want to get stuck on the side of the road each test.
4. Wh/mi economy: comparable to MPGs, how efficient the drive was, higher number means you will get more range out of the same battery.
5. kWh Used: Through a trip reset, the vehicle reports how make kWh it discharged from the last charge, this tells us an estimated kWh remaining in the battery if you drive it from full to empty. You would need to drive until the car stops driving to get an accurate result.
6. Conditions: outdoor temperature, sunny, raining, windy, that kind of stuff.
