Found them through internet search. Requested mobile installation. They called back within 2 hours to set up an appointment. Turns out they had a shop near me, which saved me 50% on installation cost. Took about an hour.
Prompt, quick, professional service. So much cheaper than getting another car. I would highly recommend their service to anyone who needs a hybrid battery replacement.

I was so grateful that my friend told me about this company. What I thought was going to be a $8,500.00 repair, as quoted to me by my regular auto shop, turned into a $2,400.00 repair. I will be forever grateful to Greentec EV & Hybrid Batteries. Thank you guys so much. Their customer service was excellent over the phone, and my experience with the technician that came to my home to do the repair was also excellent. I can’t thank you all enough. You really saved me!!

The hybrid battery on my prius started dying and I managed to drove to the shop so I left it with them and told me they’ll finish it by tomorrow at 11am but they done it a lot earlier and faster than I expected. The car was running great again with the purchased of 12 month warranty remanufactured. I’m highly satisfied with the work they’ve done and I recommended them big time.

Why pay more at the dealership? At Greentec Auto, we offer affordable, accessible and reliable hybrid battery replacements at up to 50% less than dealership prices without compromising on quality. Get the best value with expert service, mobile installation, and a warranty you can trust.
The cost of shipping to you is included with your purchase. This offer is good for the entire continental United States. Add $200 for shipping to a residential address. Let Greentec Auto make it simple to return your core to us, ask about our reduced return shipping rates.
A refundable “core deposit” of $500.00 will be added to your order at checkout. Once we receive your old battery, we will refund the core deposit back to you minus the cost of return shipping. Cores must be returned within 45 days of purchase. This applies to shipping orders only. In all other circumstances, the core will be picked up at the time of service, no deposit required.
Once your new hybrid battery has arrived, put the core battery back into the same packaging your battery arrived in. As soon as we receive your core battery, we will refund the core deposit back to you. It’s that easy.
If you own a 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid, you’ve likely already replaced the battery once — or you’re overdue. These vehicles are now 18-19 years old, and second battery replacements are becoming common. The 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid faces the same timeline issues, with most owners seeing IMA warning lights, reduced fuel economy, and weakened acceleration. At this age, even low-mileage examples need battery attention simply due to cell degradation over time.
The 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid represents the high-volume years of this generation, which means there are thousands of these cars hitting battery failure right now. Most are showing classic symptoms: persistent IMA lights, battery gauges stuck at 2-3 bars, and fuel economy in the low 30s instead of the normal 42+ MPG. The 2009 Honda Civic Hybrid sits in the same category — 15-16 years old and squarely in the replacement window. These years benefit most from our high-capacity or premium battery options since many owners plan to keep these reliable cars for several more years.
Even the “newer” 2010 Honda Civic Hybrid is now 14-15 years old, and age affects batteries as much as mileage. We regularly see 2010 models with under 100k miles that still need battery replacement because the cells have degraded from sitting through hundreds of charge cycles over the years. The 2011 Honda Civic Hybrid, the final year of this generation, faces similar issues. Don’t be surprised if your 2011 needs a battery despite relatively low mileage — it’s been over a decade, and that’s the natural lifespan for these packs.
Not sure which option fits your situation? Here’s a simple guide:
Forget about arranging towing or wasting your weekend at a repair shop. Our mobile installation service brings certified hybrid technicians directly to wherever you park your car.
Installation typically takes 2.5-3 hours. Our team will diagnose your IMA system, remove the old battery pack from behind the rear seat, install your new battery, run calibration procedures, and verify proper operation through road testing. We handle the eco-friendly disposal of your old battery at no additional cost.
If you’d rather use a shop, find your nearest facility through our locations page.
Owners face this question constantly. The math is straightforward: a 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid with a dead battery might bring $1,500-$2,500 in trade-in value. Spend $999-$1,499 on a new battery, and that same car is worth $5,000-$7,000 privately.
The same calculation applies whether you drive a 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid or a 2010 model. You’re keeping a dependable car that gets 42+ MPG, requires minimal maintenance, and costs almost nothing to insure. Compare that to $400-$600 monthly payments on a newer car, and battery replacement becomes an easy decision for most owners.
Each battery option includes different warranty coverage based on quality and price point:
We’ve installed batteries in everything from original-owner 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid models to recently purchased 2011 Honda Civic Hybrid vehicles. Whether your 2007, 2008, 2009, or 2010 Honda Civic Hybrid needs service, the warranty terms remain consistent and all include unlimited mileage protection.

If you notice warning lights on your dashboard, don’t rush to the dealership for an expensive diagnostic report. Many local auto parts stores can scan your vehicle and provide error codes for free—just ask them to run a quick scan with a diagnostic tool.
Above, we’ve listed some of the most common hybrid error codes. Keep in mind that the check engine light must be onfor major issues to be detected. If your vehicle is experiencing hybrid battery failure, dealerships often charge thousands of dollars for a replacement—typically with a limited warranty.
At Greentec Auto, we offer a cost-effective alternative, providing high-quality hybrid battery replacements at a fraction of the price. Plus, we back our batteries with a comprehensive warranty to give you peace of mind.
We currently have three options on sale: remanufactured at $999, high-capacity at $1,199, and premium new cells at $1,499. All three cost substantially less than dealership pricing of $3,500-$5,000, and the same pricing applies to every model year from 2006-2011.
Yes. All second-generation models from 2006-2011 use identical battery configurations. A 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid battery fits a 2010 Honda Civic Hybrid perfectly. The IMA system remained consistent throughout this entire generation.
Age matters more than mileage with hybrid batteries. Even a 2009 Honda Civic Hybrid with 60k miles can have a degraded battery after 15 years. The cells degrade over time regardless of how much you drive.
It depends on your plans. If you’re keeping the car long-term, the premium new cells at $1,499 offer the best value over time. For 3-5 years of ownership, the high-capacity option at $1,199 is ideal. If budget is your main concern, the remanufactured at $999 is a solid choice.
Yes. Most owners see their fuel economy return to 42+ MPG after battery replacement, compared to the low-to-mid 30s they were getting with a degraded battery. The hybrid system works properly again, maximizing efficiency.
