If you and your friend both own a Tesla Model S, the battery in the car might not be the same, and the price could be drastically different. One could be $20,000, and another one could cost $10,000.
Why, you may ask? Because the battery price comes down to the kilowatt-hours of the battery itself. So, a 70 is going to be a lot less expensive than, let’s say, like an 85, a 90, or 100 kilowatt-hour pack.
Also, there’s different amount of modules inside of the pack itself. For example, an 85 kWh is going to have 16 modules. Earlier models only have 14. So that is what really affects the price.
