What is a core deposit?
When you purchase your new hybrid battery from us, a refundable "core deposit" for your old battery will be added to your order at checkout. Once we receive your old battery, we will refund the core deposit back to you minus the cost of return shipping. (Cores must be returned within 45 days of purchase)
This applies to shipping orders only, in all other circumstances the core will be picked up at the time of service.

I purchased my 2002 Toyota Prius in 2015 through a friend who worked at GreenTec Auto in the Dallas area. Although it had high mileage, the interior and exterior were in excellent condition. I was informed that this vehicle had a special history with GreenTec. After about a month (in Jan. 2016) I had an issue with the hybrid battery that was quickly resolved by GreenTec. I have gotten great gas mileage (miles per gallon) from this Gen. 1 classic vehicle for several years. I have replaced the inverter cooling pump, and the 12 Volt battery. Then a thief stole my catalytic converter. I decided to repair the car, and was on the road again. Recently I had a problem my mechanic diagnosed as hybrid battery related. I told him about my positive experiences with GreenTec several years ago. I immediately contacted them, talked with Bradley in K.C., and a friend took me to the location in Dallas. I consulted with Billy, and the next day brought my car in to run diagnostics. Michael had also called and texted me to schedule an appointment. Billy and Maurice determined I needed to replace my hybrid battery. I contacted Hunter in K.C., and he sent the invoice to Dallas. They performed the swap out, and road tested it. After driving a few miles the red triangle of death appeared, and I drove back to the shop. Thankfully Billy had another battery in stock. They did their thing, and got me back on the road again quickly. I am a senior citizen on a fixed low income, and I highly recommend checking out GreenTec. Dealership prices are often excessive, and unaffordable. Michael reached out again to make sure everything is still OK. Everyone has been very knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and demonstrate they care about their customers. They provided exceptional service. Thank you all very much!

As I expected sooner or later, my 15-year-old Prius' hybrid battery finally died. Triangle, and numerous codes, came and went. I watched dozens of You Tube videos and called several third-party Hybrid battery companies. Two Toyota dealerships never returned my calls for a quote to replace. One gave me a cash and carry price of a basic bare bones new Toyota battery, no relays, bcm, cables... $3500 without installation. It included a one-year warranty. After much research I decided to go with Greentec. Ian was the salesperson I chatted, e-mailed and spoke with several times over the course of a week. He was very knowledgeable, honest and complete in his answers to my many questions. I am in NW Michigan, so my Greentec dealership is in Troy, near Detroit. After committing, I received a call that night and Mike, a lead technician scheduled the replacement the very next day. It was a 5-hour drive for him one way. He was polite, clean, respectful and diagnosed and replaced my battery in less than an hour. I had ordered a battery with all new cells not remanufactured with some new and some old. The new battery has brand new cylindrical cells, still nickel metal hydride. Total cost was "significantly" less than the dealership and it came with a 48 month no bones warranty, including free installation of a replacement should I need it. I took it for a drive as soon as he left. Unexpected, I am getting better gas mileage. First day in and I am a happy Prius camper.
