I am extremely grateful for the exceptional service provided by GreenTec Auto. When my 2012 Honda Civic Hybrid displayed the "IMA Not Charging" warning light, I was concerned about the potential cost of repairs. After running some diagnostic codes (P1440 and P15A5), I visited a nearby Honda Dealer only to receive a staggering quote of over $6,000 for replacing the Inverter, Battery, and IMA Coolant. Given my car's mileage of 133,000, this cost seemed exorbitant and unaffordable.

Furthermore, here are some crucial facts that greatly aided me in resolving the issue with my '12 HCH.
** Firstly, it is important to note that 2012-2015 Honda Civic Hybrid models cannot function with the IMA Battery switched off (Non-Hybrid). Beware of YouTube videos suggesting this as a solution, as it will eventually lead to your car breaking down on the road, causing further complications and expenses.
**Additionally, these models do not feature an alternator.
**Before conducting any diagnostics, ensure that your 12V battery undergoes a thorough inspection, which can usually be done for free at stores like O'Reilly's or AutoZone. This step will ensure that the diagnostic codes obtained are accurate and specific.
If you decide to keep your Honda Civic Hybrid, I strongly recommend conducting extensive research and considering GreenTec Auto. Their prices are competitive, and it is worth comparing them with other options such as eBay and other competitors.
